The UT Field Service Representative will provide services that will range in scope from performing standard maintenance, trouble-shooting, and calibrations of GE Inspection Technologies: Ultrasonic Testing machine hardware and software products at GE and customer locations.
In the role of UT Field Service Representative, you will:
Maintain and repair industrial ultrasonic systems and supporting peripheral equipment
Perform electronic certifications of GE ultrasonic equipment
Provide customers with technical support via phone and onsite service
Be responsible for timely completion of standard service reports, invoicing packages, and other administrative requirements
Be responsible for driving customer satisfaction from commitment through quality service standards
Monitor site safety during work scope execution
Qualifications/RequirementsAssociate’s Degree in Electronics, Mechanics, or Industrial Engineering from an accredited college or university (OR High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution and a minimum of 4 years of oil & gas industry experience)
Minimum 2 years of oil & gas industry experience
Ability and willingness to travel overnight approximately 70% of the time, as required
Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required
Ability and willingness to work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities
Ability and willingness to be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting, as required
Ability and willingness to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Ability and willingness to be subjected to extreme heat for extended periods of time
Ability and willingness to possess a valid driver's license and passport (or ability and willingness to obtain a passport)
Additional Elgibility Qualifications

Desired CharacteristicsKnowledge in diagnosing electronic hardware problems, mechanical problems with CNC table, software troubleshooting in a windows-based environment
Solid verbal and written communication skills, ability to read and write
Intermediate math skills
Strong Computer skills with familiarity of MS Office products, data analysis, word processing, spreadsheets, and email as well as company specific software like Datos™
Able to read/understand schematics and use oscilloscopes/digital multi-meters
Fundamental electronics and/or mechanical trouble shooting skills
Strong background in PC repair (hardware & software), working knowledge with PLC’s
Self-starter with minimal supervision requirement; able to work independently; ability to prioritize, organize work, and meet deadlines
Knowledge of GE Inspection products and services (Ultrasonic Testing Machines) (GE Employees only)
