Role Summary/Purpose

The Site Manager will develop practical and innovative ways to identify and meet goals. In this role you will be responsible for work that is less defined in scope, utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.

Essential Responsibilities

As the Site Manager, you will:

  • Be the Project Single Point of Contact for the customer at site
  • Be responsible for all activities at site
  • Be responsible for delivering the Project Schedule on cost and time
  • Will lead a team of experienced GE site team and contractors to achieve the target
  • Will lead all discussion with the sub-contractor at site
  • Be directly responsible for site operations on projects including site management, technical advisory services, field execution performance (quality, schedule, Environmental Health & Safety, and Cost), customer Net Promoter Score (NPS); this includes from the proposal phase through installation, commissioning until final acceptance, on assigned extended scope projects
  • Be responsible to develop field execution strategies, site staffing estimates, customer / constructor meetings, and tender documents
  • Oversee the subcontracting process, pre-qualifications, and commercial structure; bid packages, negotiation through final award
  • Bring expertise in overall field operations
  • Ensure process discipline on site and assign site teams based on project requirements to ensure contract requirements are met
  • Execute and monitor project performance in all areas including cost, schedule, technical advisory services, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and quality
  • Identify performance issues and provide the leadership to resolve issues and ensure the project success
  • Use lean and digitization tools drive optimum process discipline

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited university or college (OR Associate’s Degree with a minimum of 5 years of field engineering experience)
  • Minimum of 6 years of site installation and commissioning experience in a leadership role
  • ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability and Willingness to travel domestically and globally 90% of the time
  • Ability and Willingness to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license
  • Ability and Willingness to obtain and maintain a valid passport

  • Construction subcontracting and contract administration experience
  • Ability to manage multiple complicated tasks
  • Self-starter
  • Microsoft suite proficiency
