Responsible for assisting the Quality Manager in implementing quality assurance standards and systems for Oxford Division.


Coordinate, facilitate, and administer quality management systems for the Oxford Division of PCA.

Develop, implement, and coordinate company-wide quality training programs for all division personnel.

Relay customer feedback on issues throughout facility regarding quality related issues.

Assist in resolving quality problems as needed with vendors, customers, quality representatives, and company personnel.

Review quality assurance standards, existing policies & procedures to evaluate effectiveness of company quality programs.

Audit processes to ensure effectiveness of policies and procedures.

Comply with company policies and procedures.

Additional duties as assigned by management.

Processing of Complaints, Returns, Credits, and Additional Billings

 Investigate the origin of all customer complaints and internal non-conformance reports.

  • Backtrack corrugator run sheets, job analyses, loading papers, and/or invoices to determine who the Root Cause Identification and Corrective Action should be assigned to.
  • Assign and distribute complaints and non-conformances in the absence of the Quality Manager.
  • Utilize Amtek systems for tracking orders and entering customer feedback and corrective and preventative actions.
  • Participate in work center and cross functional teams to improve customer satisfaction and quality.Coordinate the return and possible rework of all non-conforming material. Coordinating rework includes:
  • Finding out what is acceptable to the customer.
  • Communicating that information to the Production Department.
  • Creating and distributing the necessary paperwork with appropriate samples.
  • Following up on finished counts of good and bad product.
  • Communicating that information to Customer Service so acceptable product can be returned to the customer.


Authorize Credits and Additional Billings.

  • Each complaint and internal non-conformance must be studied individually to determine what the proper credit or additional billing (quantity and dollar amount) is that is to be issued (based on quantities returned, shipped, billed, etc.), if any at all.
  • On a weekly basis complaints and non-conformance reports are matched with Credit or Debit Memos in the Accounting office. This “matching” of forms is the authorization of credits and debits. Obtain responsible management approval of credits and debits.
  • A weekly list of all authorized credits and debits is produced for distribution in the “Monday Morning Meeting”.Follow-up on complaints and internal non-conformances to make sure the Corrective Action is acceptable and complete.


“Hold For Disposition” Area

  • Maintain a daily inventory of the “Hold for Disposition” area.
  • Work with Production to have product removed when necessary
  • Produce detailed list of the inventory for distribution in the “Monday Morning Meeting”. Tape Measures
  • Maintain an inventory of tape measures.
  • Maintain a list of all employees that have been issued tape measures
  • Verify calibration of all tape measures when issued to employees.
  • Replace broken tape measures when necessary.
  • Order new tape measures when necessary.Liner, ECT, Mullen, and Water-resistant Adhesive Testing
  • Verify liner combination of samples for salesmen upon request (Basis Weight)
  • Perform ECT, flat crush, and water-resistant adhesive tests for salesmen upon request. RecordsMaintain files for:
  • Quality Check sheets
  • Credits/Debits and management approval
  • Weekly “Hold for Disposition” lists
  • Quality Systems related Purchase OrdersVendorsCommunicate with vendors concerning incoming non-conforming materials. CustomersMay make visits to major customers to inspect product, assist in their manufacturing, or collect samples of non-conforming product.  Calibration and Certification VerificationResponsible for the verification of calibration and annual or quarterly certification of the following
  • Weigh Scales including Starch Kitchen
  • Measuring Equipment that provides plant floor production support
  • Color Guide Books and customer specific swatches.



High school diploma or GED.

Related college degree and/or appropriate technical courses or Associate’s (A.A.) degree

Candidates are PREFERRED who offer the following:

3 – 5 year in the Corrugated Industry



Able to read, analyze, and write business reports.

 Ability to effectively communicate with customers, suppliers, production personnel and customer service.

 Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Power point, and Minitab.

 Knowledge of SPC, ISO 9000 2008, AIB, and FSSC.



Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as averages, ranges, and sigma.   Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.



Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.



Employee is regularly required to walk and talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
