Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Classification: Non-Exempt
Job Type: Full-Time

 Shift: 10:30 a.m.- 7:00 p.m. or 11:00 a.m.- 7:30 a.m. 

Purpose

The Patient Care Coordinators will interact with patients over the phone to coordinate prescription refill(s), update billing information, and address patient concerns. In addition to these duties, Patient Care Coordinators will also redirect calls to pharmacists as needed, communicate with healthcare providers in a confidential manner, while adhering to applicable healthcare regulations.  This position will report to the Manager, Patient Care Coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with patients via phone to establish rapport, ensure clinical compliance, and establish next shipment of medication
  • Communicate with order management and fulfillment team to engage compliance, and to address concerns as noted during patient communication
  • Accept direction from pharmacist(s) and Leadership regarding various elements of specialty call compliance programs
  • Additional projects and activities as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or graduate education degree (GED)
  • 1-3 years customer service experience in a call center environment
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1-3 years’ experience in a specialty pharmacy call center environment

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
