Electrical Engineer


ROLE:

Electrical Design, development and purchase of required materials. Oversee installation and system startup of all capital and noncapital projects. Assists maintenance and operations to resolve re-curring system problems. Maintain and update all PLC programs and machinery data collection systems.

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Design, purchase materials/equipment; oversee installation of all electrically involved projects. Capital and noncapital (daily).
  • Maintain WF - L gateway PLC programs and RS trend data collection programs (as required-minimum monthly).
  • Attend weekly utilization meetings.
  • Maintain facility electrical drawings and manuals. Create new drawings as required.
  • Track and breakout electrical bill for WF - L.
  • Attend facility problem solving meetings as required.
  • Project annual electrical consumptions and cost.
  • Resolve system's problems with OEM's as required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Currently does not directly supervise employees in the Facilities Engineering Depai_ intent. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • LANGUAGE SKILLS - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

  • REASONING ABILITY - Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Education/Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree (B.S.E.E.) from four-year college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
