The fabrication foreman supervises a crew of fabricators and laborersthrough specific operations associated with said position. This includesmultiple types and styles of welding, cutting, bending through processesincluding MIG and TIG. The foreman is responsible for ensuring top quality ofmanufacture scopes while continually assessing whether improvements can bemade. All work is to be made per schedule.

Supervisory Responsibility
The position directly supervises employees and carries out supervisoryresponsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicablelaws. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning anddirecting work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees;addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposedto fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. Theemployee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at the shop.The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. Thisposition is performed inside and in outside weather conditions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee isregularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required tostand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands andarms.

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb orbalance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently liftor move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job includeclose vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depthperception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday throughFriday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Saturdays 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Occasionalevening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

No travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

  1. High school education
  2. Related experience or training in the fabrication/manufacturing industry.
