Don’t miss the opportunity to apply for this Business Development Management position in our client’s growing government business unit in the Integrated Electronic Security Industry. In the past decade this company has experienced at least 30% growth every year and is positioned to double in size in the next five years. Selected candidate will live in the mid-Atlantic region. Experience with federal, state or local GSA cooperative purchasing agreements required.

Compensation commensurate with experience in the $120,000 base range plus bonus.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Build a sales pipeline and generate new revenue by identifying, qualifying, and capturing new awards in the federal, state and local government markets.  
  • Dedicated government business development with assigned regional booking goal.
  • Focus on creating opportunities through partners and develop and or/maintain trusted relationships with industry counterparts.
  • Work with local and regional Account Executives for training, support, and proposals at task order levels.
  • Work with Government Services Team and other Regional BDM’s to leverage programs and relationships around the Nation.
  • Create and execute LOB and agency-specific strategic account plans.
  • Participate/lead strategic planning including company’s positioning in cooperative purchasing competitive analysis, target customer selection and qualification, and penetration plans.   
  • Meet and/or exceed established metrics (pipeline growth, close ratio, forecast accuracy, revenue production, client interaction).   
  • Identify and obtain client-specific contract vehicles.   

Job Requirements:

Demonstrated experience in all phases of GSA government business development, including planning, strategy development, bid and proposal budgets, bid/no bid decisions, resource allocations, and management reviews.

B.S. in Business Administration, Marketing or related field desired.

Five plus years of successful performance as a Business Development Manager targeting the various government agencies including GSA, DOD and VA.  Experience in the commercial electronic security, fire alarm or building automation industries strongly desired.

Ability to travel regionally and occasionally nationally as required.

Ability to pass background check and drug screen to company’s specifications.
